Smith & Wesson 386/520

If I were after a 386 (the 6 shot SS that comes with 3" bbl, not the PD) with a 4" barrel and a full length extractor, would it be possible to fit a 520 barrel with a new ejector rod? Is the ejector star integral with the ejector rod?

Has anyone tried this? The end goal would be an L-frame made out of titanium with a 6 round cylinder and a model 19 ejector rod shroud profile.

This seems to me like a nice carry piece.
