Hi, I'm about to buy a Smith & Wesson Model 629-4 Classic DX 6.5 ", it is the state of nine (98%), with the plastic box, wooden handle and Hogue and 4 other handlebars, paper etc. ...

The question I ask myself, there's a difference "mechanics" of a DX-629 to a conventional (non-DX).

Thank you, kindly enlighten me, cordially Gaëtan.

Hello Gatean,

For a time all 629 Classics were tested for accuracy at 50 yards with 5 Federal 240 grain JHP cartridges and those that produced the best groups were marked "DX" and packaged with extra stocks and front sights. There is no other difference between 629DXs and other Classic 629s produced at the same time. Most of the DX test targets that I've seen have groups of 1 1/4" to 1 1/5".

Best Regards,

Gil
