Bought a Model 61 Escort. There is a pin at the top/rear of the left side grip. I assume it is a loaded-chamber indicator pin? It is free-floating in and out of the grip if I flip the gun from side to side. Can I assume I am missing a teeny indicator pin spring? With the grip off, the pin will come right out and there is no spring inside the hole. In what order/configuration does the spring and pin go into the hole? Appreciate any assistance you might offer.Thanks

The spring and indicator are parts #14 and 15. I'm doing this on an iPad and cannot make heads or tails of their very poor quality diagram ... :(. That said, it looks like the spring goes in front of the indicator plunger - which would make sense to me. The plunger is kept out of sight until the hammer (I believe) forces the plunger out to show that it is cocked ...
