And when he says "Probably", you can take it to the bank----including this time! It sure enough is from 1968, right along with all the rest of them from K779163 through K848781. Of course not all of those are K-22's, 'cause S&W made K-32's, K-38's, and the Combat Masterpieces right along with the K-22's---and the Combat Magnums in the same serial number series, just to keep us guessing!

Just so there's no misunderstanding, the serial numbers noted above were completed in 1968----there's no telling if they were shipped in 1968 without a letter---or asking Jinks if you're a SWCA member---if he's still doing that.
