Hi,
I have recently acquired a S&W Model 48 no dash. According to the SCSW, the Model 48 no dash was made for less than a year, in 1959. What I am curious about is whether or not, within the collector's circle, there is a difference in value of the different dashed numbers within the Models. Would this Model 48 no dash be worth more than say, a Model 48-2, made for about 6 years from 1962-1967? I'm just curious about this as mine is more of a shooter and I just wanted it to go along with my Pre-Model 18, bought new by my Grandpa in 1956, and my Pre-Model 17, from 1953. Here are some pics of the Model 48.
Thanks for any comments.
