The T08 bench block was created/used to help armorers with completing the L-frame recall refit. The fixture had various stations.
The large cavity was to provide clearance for the hammer spur when the hammer was on the fixture. The large pin next to the cavity was to prevent the hammer from moving backward as the hammer nose was put in place and the new rivet was inserted.
The .060" gage was used to check headspace on the cylinder after the new hammer nose bushing was installed. There was also a small pin on this gage to confirm the diameter of the hole in the new bushing, and a "protrusion hole" to confirm the proper diameter of the protrusion on the new hammer nose.
Tool labelled "T02" is a Starrett 1/8" starter punch. I use this punch for flaring rivets, instead of the staking insert in the fixture.
Various other tools and gages were provided by the factory.
Just an amateur hobbyist. I am fabricating this one-off to complete my rabbit hole adventure of assembling all the vintage revolver armorer tools.....this is the last one in the quest.
