Hello friends. Well,, I finally picked up the model 25-7 today that i won on gun broker last month. It is everything I had hoped for. Aside from the hogue rubbers, it's perfect.

Diligence has paid off and I now have a trio of Smiths in 45 Colt ctg.

The 25-5 was unfired when I got it, and has been shot. The 625-7 was also unfired , and i have taken it to the range twice now, with stunning results..

The hunt will continue for any 25-9 or Mountain gun in blue or stainless in 45 Colt to add to the group.

But for now I'm content with the latest addition ,and will shoot it this Saturday at the range.

Here are mine ,, I'd love to see yours, please , lots of pictures.
And if you should consider selling or trading a Smith in 45 Colt ,please let me know ..

Sir, the Hogues that your 25-7 came with may be original. That's what they came with from the factory.

BTW, here's my 25-9, bought new in 1990.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

The .45 Colt is my favorite caliber!
I have owned quite a few different guns chambered for this round. I recently sold off two Rugers in .45 Colt to fund something different, but here is my 25-7 that I was shooting yesterday (One of, if not the most accurate Smith handguns I've owned), and my 25-5.

Here's the 25-5 that got me started on N frames.

No photos of my 3" 625-7 yet, sorry!

.45 Colt Smiths.....

After a three year search I finally snagged a M-25-7 a few years ago. LNIB gun with papers, etc. My first range session with std 250 gr RN .45 Colt loads amazed me. It shot like a M-14 with wadcutters.

A year later I found one of the M-625 PC Light Weight Hunters in .45 Colt and despite the $1K price talked myself into that one as well. Appears to be just as accurate as the 25-7.

25-7 on the right and the PC 625 to its left.

Muley Gil,
That is an awesome looking revolver. I just traded away my N frame Hiway Patrolman because my hands are more suited to a K frame revolver. I bet a RB N frame would fit my hands much more better!
