At my last trip to my local indoor range I shot a box of 38s I have had since before the last panic price hike. By the fifth or sixth round you could barely see the target for the smoke. At the end of fifty rounds my hands were filthy and the gun was filthy. All that having been said, I wish I had bought a lot more of those Smokey gems when they were $12.50 a box. Last time I checked on line they were $32.00 for fifty. I will enjoy them while they last. Y'all enjoy your long holiday weekend!

It was the lube making the smoke. 158 grain lead SWC. Nothing wrong with the ammo just not the best choice for an indoor range. Target was close enough my shooting should have been better than that. Luckily no one was back there with me when I was shooting.

Georgia Arms ammo. 38 Special LSWC. I always shoot double action. Shot as fast as I could with any accuracy at I think seven yards. As Smokey as that stuff is inside I am not sure I could see the target at 25 yards. No one ever accused me of being an expert pistol shot but I do enjoy making them go bang.

I have starting using the Polymer coated bullets because they use no separate wax for lube. That has really cut the smoke and filth by a major amount. When I do shoot the wax lubed bullets I try and only shoot them outside.

My local indoor range would toss you out after the first cylinder of those things.

The only lead bullets allowed are .22's and shotgun slugs.
