Just looking for suggestions on which snap caps/dummy rounds to buy. Want to use them for my wife and I to practice with in our shields. Been doing a lot of looking online but just wanted to get some suggestions from people who have used them.
Thanks in advance

For dry fire practice, the Shield doesn't need Snap-Cap/Dummy Rounds, but they ARE good for practicing malfunction drills.

Personally, I like the Aluminum A-Zoom Snap-Caps. They last longer than the plastic brands.

DummyBullet.com .I dry fire once a week and his rounds are a year old now. Still doing well but starting to show their use.

Thank you Fresnohog, appreciate your suggestion. I really like the product on this site. I will definitely be buying from DummyBellet.com

Don't buy the all plastic (orange) rounds. The rims break fairly quickly on extraction.

However, make sure whatever dummy round you buy does NOT look like a live round--it should have some unusual characteristic that will visually set it apart from live ammo. A blue bullet is not enough, as there are live rounds with blue bullets.

Since I reload my ammo I do all my snapcaps myself. Seat a bullet, fill primer hole with hot glue gun. Drill case through for easy identification - done and it only cost me a price of a bullet like $0.07-0.12 depending on caliber.

I use Tipton or Traditions snap caps. Both brands appear to be identical -- brass bases with clear red plastic casing/bullet assemblies containing a spring to absorb the impact of the firing pin. They are durable and unlikely to cause damage to your chamber, extractor or ejector.

Hey everybody
Thanks for your responses and suggestions. I did go with dummybullets.com. Had a good selection and he uses real casings and bullets. The prices were really good as well(not as good as yours iouri). Picked up packs of 5 in the 9mm, 40 and 45 for 6.50 each plus 3.75 for shipping. The order shipped by end of day today. Pretty happy so far with product discription, price and shipping. Time will tell
Thanks again
