Anybody using a Sneaky Pete for CCW? I bought one for my Shield's but I've never really used it. It doesn't seem too convincing as a smartphone carrier because of the size (to me, at least). I love the fit and retention but I'm not sure that the "hide in plain sight" concept will work in this case. Any good or bad experiences?

My wife wanted one until.she saw it on. To her it screamed anything but a cell phone, she nearly got a small android tablet in it. She suggested that anyone that asked be told it was a kindle. Then bought a King Tuk

I bought one for my Walther PPS and fit and function are fine. I have carried it and never had anyone ask about it. I bought one shortly after they came on the market and I was wearing it while looking at a house that was for sale, turned out the guy that owned the house was a cop, he never said anything but he did keep eyeing my holster, I am sure he was wondering what I had in there. Now anyone in the gun world will know you are carrying, the general public probably not.

I spotted the first one I've seen in person in church today. I pointed it out to my wife who thought it was a large insulin pump. To me it is not an option but it obviously worked for him. The logo on it could be seen from 30 ft away if you know what your looking at. That latter part does make a difference though.

General public won't know what it is but the are so big that it screams "Look at me!!! Something cool here!" It's the same with those guys who buy tennis racquet bags so they can carry a rifle. If you're not dressed for playing tennis and walking around with that bag everywhere ....it may not scream "rifle" but it sure would get plenty of stares

I have spotted a couple people wearing that holster. If you know what you’re looking at its real easy to spot.

I contacted the company and asked about getting one minus the lettering. The reply was that is considered customizing AND WE DO NOT DO CUSTOM WORK!

I bet they could sell a lot more if they got off their high horse. Heck I was interested in one for my .380 Bodyguard but not with the obvious "sign" on it. :(

Another forum member has mentioned that you could pass it of as a medicinal pump if you wanted to.

Just get some sort if medical looking / sounding logo and slap that on the front... people will just assume you're carrying insulin.

Otherwise.... They're simply enormous.

I've seen a few of them around town. I've seen them at church, Walmart and a restaurant. What I noticed while watching the people is I noticed but no one else gave it a second look. Hidden in pain sight.

I got one for my wife, she carried it three or four times and now it resides in that big cardboard box in my gun room that is filled with other holster mistakes.

It's for concealment...a neat and classy way to carry concealed, so what if another knows what it is, thats good. It's better than having pistol grip bulge under your shirt.

With new smart phones greeting bigger and bigger. I am sure most people are going to think that's what it is.

The smallest ones for micro .380's are probably the only ones I would ever consider.
