Snow report

Sunday morning was beautiful in Williamson County, but it got windy in the afternoon and then it got cold. 29 this morning when I got up.

It might be overkill, but I'm dripping the outside faucets just in case.

It was 60 yesterday at dawn and this morning it was 20. Ugh.

We are expecting mixed snow and freezing rain middle and late this week. Lovely.

Nothing here in S. Fla.
Reports are that temps will drop below 50 for the first time since Jan '23.
I'll put an edge on the cane cutter for the anticipated rain of iguanas from the trees.

We were at 73 today, but it's supposed to drop into the mid 30's the next few nights.

After living in Cincinnati a little over 40 years, I'm not gonna complain...too much!

My daughter in Cincinnati said they got between 10 to 12 inches of snow.

25F here in central WV. 4-6" of frozen snow on the ground - 2", then a quick sleeting, then the last 2-4" late and overnight. If I were 7-8 years old, I'd say "Whee!" and go find a tall enough driveway to try out my Flexible Flyer. But I'm 74 now and I do not want to dig out my car, run errands, and then not be able to get it back up my driveway from the street.

The news casters say that Reno is at the "Balance" point.

We will be good or bad,
depending on if we get MORE snow,
or how fast it melts,
to see how our water supply turns out for this year.

PS;
saw on last night's news, (mon) that the new pair of Panda bears
in New York, were having a fun time, romping around in the fresh snow, that was falling!!
Will open to the public after a break in spell.

Follow up on snow in my area. Picture taken early last evening by an ex co-worker who shares her house with her fiance in a suburb called Cross Lanes WV. On a ridgeline, about 10 miles west of where I live. They were walking up the road to her parent's house, and came upon an APCO truck in the ditch. Should've had their chains on.

Before lunch today, I cleaned off the pick-up & started to clear out in front of the garage. There is a 6' wide and 14" tall snow drift. I got half of a car wide path cut through and was so tired I nocked off, went in and shed the Carhartt's. I fell asleep in my chair for two hours (after less than 30 minutes outdoors!), I guess I will get the other half don tomorrow. Being retired, we don't "Need" to be anywhere, except for Church twice a week (maybe).

Saturday night I was ordered to a specific ER that is normally 45 minutes away. It took us 2 1/2 hours in a snow storm. I made Ruthie and Logan go home last night to rest. When they arrived the city had plowed the street. The driveway was completely blocked.

We are used to it.

In central Texas the forecast also keep changing. It will consistently be cold through the weekend, but the chances of freezing rain keep changing almost hourly.

Of to Costco and H-E-B for a few things to get us through the weekend. I'm very experienced at driving through snow and even ice, but I'm not sure anyone else around here is.

No snow, but it's cold. High today was 40. Tonight's low 23. They keep changing the forecast about every hour. I've seen anything from 55% chance of snow Thursday to 0%. Right now it's pegged as a 35% chance of rain / snow mix.

We'll see.
