Maybe I can scoop up a used 632 Carry Comp on the cheap sometime... They didn't have a very long run, I'm guess Johnnyflake and I are the only 2 people that would like one! LOL!

I would be interested in a 632. I don't understand why it was ported though. I don't care for ported guns. I also thought about the Ruger sp101. All of these disappeared before I got around to buying one. And I am not ready to pay the prices that they have been going for on the various sites.

And now apparently either the 327 is all of the sudden extremely popular or opportunistic folks are betting they go through the roof in the next few years?? (seeing as how they bring so much on the leading auction sites)

I mean, I like em yes... but not enough to pay more than I did for my P&R m29!

And interested to know about the m16... So that was a 32 H&R mag? K frame?? When did those cease production? How about the full underlug shown in your pics, all of them that way? Or just certain pieces?

And finally, I remember skimming over a post awhile back pertaining to how the m16 is converted to 327 Fed Mag. Could you tell me what is done to accomplish this conversion??

If it is more wallet friendly, a 327 Mag might not be out of the question for me after all.
 
Sadly both revolvers are going to cost over $1,000.00 easily. The 16-4 just requires the cylinder to be reamed from 32 magnum to 327 magnum. I have done this with two of mine and I am very happy with the results.
Another option is Ruger is now making a "Single Seven" Single action in 327 magnum. The revolver is made in 4 /4/8. 5 /1/2 and 7 inch barrel. Oh the cost is averaging $500 to $600 each.

I am getting ready to buy 4 in Consecutive serial numbers, one of each of my grandkids!!

I did check GB for m16's and my hopes have been dashed.. :(

I wasn't terribly surprised at the price on the m16 though..it's a very attractive piece. For the same money that 632's seem to be going for, I would most likely go with the m16 conversion given the choice between the two.

The Ruger might be an option for me if they come back with the SP101 in 327. I'm just not a fan of single actions as Un-American as that may be...

I have a snubby speed 6 ss. Great old heavy duty build. Still some around.

I never could find a S&W but last year I found a Ruger SS DA revolver in a 32 H&R magnum. It was NIB. I took it to the range and fired 6 times. It split all 6 cases from front to back and locked up the cylinder on #6. Ruger said send it back which I did. A few weeks later they called and said they had no parts to fix it and it was out of production. They offered me $335 on any gun (except revolver) I wanted but I could have any revolver I wanted with no charge. I said "ANY REVOLVER?" Three months later I received at my FFL dealer a NIB RUGER ALASKAN IN .44MAG.


Not a S&W but a very nice gun and was impressed by Ruger's gesture.

It is truly a dual purpose revolver. If you miss a charging mad bear with six rounds you can probably knock him out when you throw it at him.
 
327 mag. Kit gun

Down here in the boonies where I live, the quest is for the perfect
Country Western Cruzin piece. It should have 3" barrel, J frame
adj. sights, sq. butt, airweight . This would be small enough not
to ruin small game and enough gun for larger varmints and self
defense. The main thing is accuracy and ease of carry.
 
I'd buy a J humpback like my 649-3 in .327 Fed Mag in a heartbeat.

Especially if it had 6 or 7 holes...
 
I'd be happy is they just brought back any j-frame in 327 mag.

I suppose my dream revolver in 327 would be an N frame (10 shot?) with a 6" barrel. That would be a perfect small game revolver as well as a potent defensive weapon. Of course, I know it will probably never happen.
