Just finished the cedar stocks for my Model 36.

Ruger Alaskan, bobbed .44 SPL Bulldog, .357 Mag SP101, Model 40, Model 36, High Standard .22 Sentinel.

Neat! How different are they from the Ergo Grips? (Did you make any changes or just duplicate them?)


Bet they smell great. Wow, and juniper/cedar is a rugged wood. Nice, very nice. Thanks for sharing with us.

I was in the mood for something different for the round J framed Model 40 when I paired it up with the rubber Ergos. I liked the way it feels in my hand.

The 36 has a squared butt that Ergo doesn't have a design for, so I cobbled up my own grips.

Hey, right on! I had a square butt 36 once - felt great in the hand, but I traded it to a friend who wanted it more. I love that you not only made stocks that were useful to you, but that you managed to make them gorgeous.
