So how did I do in my M29 hunt?

Here, above are a couple of my long barreled Smith revolvers. The Model 29 has a Burris Gil Hebard special scope with a dot reticule that I had mounted, back in the day, so if I ran into bad weather deer hunting, I could easily remove the scope and use the iron sights. I carried this in a Bianchi across the chest holster. It was quite comfortable in rough country. I have taken several deer with it.

The 629 at the top was a Special Issue "Light Hunter" and works quite well in the same holster.

Scoped or Red Dot, both of them will pretty much stay on a playing card at 100 yards off a rest.

Very nice! I also acquired my first model 29 recently. The 29-5 Classic...

Besides beauty, this is an excellent hunting gun for stalking white tails in forested country. Easy to carry in the right holster and handy to have both hands free when dealing with rough terrain. Nice find.
