I bought a Trooper MKIII and will pick it up on Friday, but I was on GB looking for grips. I saw a set of service grips in used condition and I mean used and they started at &165.00. I saw some jay scott grips and they were around $70 all the factory grips I saw were used and abused but almost $100 or more. I found a set of Pachs and bought those because they had the Colt medallion and I paid around $30.00 for them.

The last Colt I bought was last year and it was a Metropolitan and I bought Pachs for it for about &29+tax so those haven't gone crazy. The factory grips on the one I bought are in great condition they just don't feel right in my hand I just never figured replacements would be that expensive i mean it not like its a Smith or something.

Is there anything on GB that isn't overpriced??

Plus most things with the "Colt" name are usually sought after by collectors which jacks up the prices.

If $20.00 is in your price range, contact me about some new wood grips. Have 2 sets for MK III Colt. You will not be disappointed. Thanks - Judge [email protected]

If I buy a gun to shoot it and it has nice orginal wood grips, I just take them off to preserve them and put on Pachmayrs.

Many years ago I bought a Colt Trooper Mk. III. The first thing I did was buy a set of ivory grips. I guess I paid less for the ivory grips at that time than what some people want for the original walnut grips now. I believe the original walnut grips for my gun are in the original box that I have stashed away.
