So I fired my M&P exactly six times the other day and then...

I fired three full 17rd magazines from my M&P 4.25" handgun this weekend. Added TFO sights and wanted to make sure she shot true to aim. Yeah, all 17rds were loaded in the mags (OMG, I topped it off!) and all three magazines and their host gun shot straight and true.

Never an incident...always a smile

800+ trouble free rounds through my Shield 9...in fact, I am amazed at the accuracy and "shootability" of this platform.

Errr, I did eject my white dot some time ago so am I out of the brotherhood??

i have put about 500 rounds through my shield and it has been great. It was my first m&p pistol. bought an m&p 45 today and can't wait to shoot it. thinking about selling my glock 17 for a m&p 9.

With the magazine shortage, unless you can get ahead of the curve I don't recommend selling anything with mags to buy something without. If you can pick up a couple of mags around the same time go right ahead. I don't think you'll go wrong.

1800 rounds through my 9mm FS. Never an issue. I do notice that the holes on the paper are getting closer and closer to each other. I'll be hitting the range tonight alongside my buddy who absolutely hates his Glock 9mm for it's accuracy issues.

Hahaha I'm only up to about 500 rounds threw mine all cheapie Walmart ammo, only issue I had was getting blasted in the face by brass...then I learned how to correctly hold my gun...so far no more brass showers

Would you mind terribly holding this target? I need to perform another function check....

The only problem I have with my 9FS is that it spends entirely too much time locked up in my not-to-be-named-secure-place-of-weapons-keepage.

How could anyone ever trust an occifer who needs a leash to keep from losing his capgun?

[Gives new meaning to 'drawing the short straw,' too.]

Today saw 155 rounds through the M&P full size of both Fed and Win Wally World ammo. The groups were 3-4 inches unsupported after a seven mile run and missing lunch. Then I ran the gun as fast as I could ride the front sight. Somebody down the line got antsy and tried to hang, but he couldn't hold his front sight on his B27 much less an 8"bull. I was unable to shoot beyond fifteen yards due to range equipment failure. I'm here to tell you I'd bet my @$$ on her if I had to with nothing but pity for the other guy. It runs fast with the Apex FSS and it's very quick to recover. I'm very happy with it.

I love this thread. It urks me how much user error is involved with these "Failure" threads. Biggest pet peeve is the slide release threads. Around 15,000 rounds total through all of my M&Ps without failure and still running strong!

It's true. I've had 10 stoppages with my 2012 MP 9 FS but all were attributable to my combination of Apex trigger parts. Once I replaced the factory sear we were back on track.

What's a stoppage? I'm not exactly sure I've had one yet, but I'd like to know what to look for. Is that like when I burn through all of my magazines and then I have to stop to reload them? Or is it more like when I can't see the bullet strikes in the target anymore because the center is shot out and I have to stop and go put new ones up?:D

I got an FS 9mm as a replacement for the Beretta 92 INOX I sold. Since the ammo shortage put a grimp in that after only 150 rounds I went to the M&P 22. Still had the same problem. So I went to the 9c and still had the same problem. Now I have an M&P45 FS on order and hope not to have the problem again.

By the way the problem is I keep running our of AMMO!! I love shooting all of them sooo much!!

Another double member of "The Brotherhood"

My FS9 and Shield 9 have run flawless every time they have been put to the test. My only complaint is that I am eating ammo faster than I can afford to replace it. 500rds of 9mm go into the ammo box, next thing I know I am down to reserves. This things are hungry!

Yes it's a crying shame isn't it?? Mine just wants to be fed at the range.

I believe I have devised a plan to make it not work right. I have enlisted a small framed female shooter to assist me in testing the weapon this weekend. Surely it'll misbehave for her...

I'm having a different issue with each one of my M&P's that hasn't been listed so far. I sold my Glock 17 a while back and absolutely none of my M&P's has that 2x4 grip that I was used to feeling. Not a single back strap simulates the flat front, flat sides, and awkward rounded back of the grip that I was used to feeling. What gives??? How can anyone say these M&P's are so good when they don't even feel like the 2x4 grip????

All of you have failed to follow established forum standards and practices in the function testing of these firearms. You must first confirm the date, lot, and marital status of he fellow that pushed the button to pour the plastic into the S&W mold that was used to form your gun, not some other forum member.
Next you must create and fill another thread concerned with the depression of your slide release. Note multi point pounds per square inch of pressure required to install same. Someone must obtain a letter from S&W and the BATFE establishing minimums based on the thumb pressure index. Once installed there must be 2 threads concerning the recess of the pin on the right side of the weapon. comparisons based on 10000 of an inch must be provided.
Most importantly you must not have actually fired the weapon within the decade that the posting is made. As actually using the gun would devalue it and require Roy Jinx to provide updated information stating that your gun is now "just OK."
And a least 3 posts must deal with how the gun is superior in plastic to any other maker. All of the mentioned posts must state that "you get what you pay for."
