So, I get an email about a pre Model 27...

catboatwilly- in CA the liberal anti-gun voters simply outnumber people who support the 2nd Amendment. Just numbers. When 55% of voters want more gun laws, how do the other 45% stop them? That's why I left CA in 1992. That and about a million other "liberal ideals shoved down my throat" reasons.

Nice sharp shoulder magnas, you mentioned 50-51 production. Has to be lower that S100,000, but any lower than S75,000? Im guessing based on the price that the seller would have picked up on that if in the transitional stage.

Nice early post war gun.

And Saxon, I am all for the liberals taking over in California. They keep pushing most of the good people with their guns up here to Utah.

Yes, it's lower than S100,000...but not S75,000.

My new pre 27 is S76429. According to the Standard Catalog of S&W, S75000 - S80499 were produced between 1950 and 1951. I'd like to think mine was made in 1950, as I like the sound of that, but who knows? It's older than I am by a good 13-14 years and is in far better shape for its age than me!!
