...S&W here in the US, not Walther (here or Germany). True??
Looking forward to shooting it later today!

Thanks for confirming this rumor.

Bought it and shot it today; sweet!! I may need to adjust the sights a bit as it seems to be shooting just a tad left. But it's no doubt another M&P winner!!

They are all marked Springfield, MA since that is where the HQ is but a lot of their stuff in made in ME, especially rimfires.

I've had my .22 Compact (made here in the USA by S&W) for several months to a year now and it is one gun I always take to the range. It is a great little rimfire pistol. Mine eats pretty much anything and runs like a champ.

Installed a fiber optic front sight made by Dawson Precision on my M&P .22 Compact today. Easy installation; they even give you a punch and good instructions. Much better. I got mine from Taylor Tactical.

What kind of accuracy are you guys getting out of these 22's?

Depends on distance I suppose :p

January 2nd I bought my .22 Full Size, shot 3 ten at 25 meters and a whole bunch of 9. Some in the 6 but that's the shooters fault (or perhaps the standard CCI ammo, or the lack of grip, or the trigger, grip at the trigger and all the other excuses):rolleyes:

But for an non Match gun, even at 10 meters it's pretty good. Now have to find out how reliable it is on the long term.
And after adjustments to the sights (looking around for Ameriglo, Dawson, Truglo of Hi-Viz). And testing for the right ammo (standard or MiniMag, Blazers, Federal, Geco, S&B or Remington bulk).
