So now I gotta ask

I have 3 Colts, 6 Rugers, 3 CZs, 2 Walthers, 5 Stars, 7 Sigs & some misc .25s.

Only God knows how many S&W revolvers and semis I have, cause I don't.

Let's see. My menagerie of handguns consists of S&W, Colt, Ruger, Erfurt (P08), Walter, Ithaca (1911A-1), Star, GSG, Taurus, Webley, KelTec, Glock, RIA, H&R and a Soviet Nagant. S&W makes up 60% of the total, with Colt and Ruger each accounting for 10% each. Over 75% of the revolvers are S&W. 1911 type pistols account for almost 60% of the pistols.

The long guns are made up of Inland, Postal Meter, Saginaw SG, Eddystone, Enfield, ROF Fazerkerly, Smith Corona, Springfield Armory (the original one), Ruger, Windom, Remington, Winchester, Marlin and Henry.

At various times I've also had Auto Ord, Llama, Rossi, Cimarron, Sig, ROF Lithgow, Mossberg, Bushmaster, Springfield Armory (the current one), Iver Johnson, and probably a few more I'm unable to recall at the moment.

My guess would be 75% of my handgun's would be S&W hand ejectors......the balance are Sig, Freedom Arms, Colt, Glock, etc.

The long gun list is extensive.....

Mossberg, Ruger, Smith & Wesson, Taurus, Walther.

As for what percentage is S&W, well... That's where things get screwy... See, technically I own two Smith & Wesson brand firearms, but neither is strictly a S&W product. Allow me to explain, the first one is a Smith & Wesson manufactured PPK/S, made under license during a period in which S&W was partnered with Walther, and was producing the PPK and PPK/S domestically. But wait, there's more... Smith & Wesson then outsourced the production of the Slide and Frame to Ruger who performed the casting for S&W in their Pine Tree Investment Casting facility, then shipped them back to S&W for machining, finishing, and assembly. So what percentage of the gun is actually considered Smith & Wesson, 33.3% at best?
My second Smith & Wesson brand firearm is a Sigma SW40VE, which as most folks know, is a very close copy of the Glock 23, so close in fact that the previous generation Sigma SW40F and SW40C had actually infringed on one of Glock's patents, thus leading to a lawsuit which was settled out of court with S&W paying Glock royalties for all models sold then redesigned the Sigma so that it no longer infringed on Glock's patents. So that begs the question, what percentage of the SW40VE is Smith & Wesson? Granted that the SW40VE is a 3rd Gen Sigma which was manufactured post redesign, but it's still largely based on the Glock 23.

See what I mean? Some would argue that I don't even own one Smith & Wesson firearm considering that neither was really designed by S&W, merely produced by them.

I have been adding firearms to the stable for over 40 years. I doubt I will recall all of the brands. I am only going to do handguns.

There are 43 different handgun brands in my collection.

Of all of those handguns, 60% are Smith & Wessons

I did a quick records check and it seems I have firearms from 31 different companies. In many cases only one or two of a given brand.
Didn't do the math, bit I'd say about 33% are S&Ws.

"ROF Fazerkerly"

I could look it up, but what the heck is that?

CZ-P07 from the CZ Custom Shop.
Henry .22 rifle.
Moisin Nagant made 1917.
A PSA parts AR.
Marlin .357 Lever

I think that's about it..

A dozen or so. More I guess. Basically no plastic, no striker fired (ok one Mauser 1914 .32) , and no Ruger automatics.
Bunch of S&Ws, bunch of Colts, Bunch of Berettas, some Winchester, a few Remingtons, and a couple of Sigs, a few Ruger revolvers, a super sweet Mossberg bolt gun, and a super sweet Rossi lever. Oh and one Stevens. Oh and one CZ bolt .22, and one Anschutz bolt action. Oh right and a Walther. Plus one Astra. Browning too I guess. And a Springfield. An FN also.
Never mind I gotta make a list or something. I keep remembering guns and then remembering I no longer have them, and then remembering guns I bought that I totally forgot about, and then there's the one in the kitchen. I am terrible at these tests.

30 to 40 years ago it was about 60% Colts handguns, 39.9% Milsurp (Lugers, 1911, 1911A1) & traditional US brand hunting rifles, levers, shotguns, with ONE (1) S&W J Frame for EDC (since 1971).

Fast forward to 2000 to present day and its all Smiths along with a Glock 21, 1 remaining 1911A1 (Ithaca 1943), 1 Ruger Single Six, 1 Browning Hi-Power so numerically the Smiths are 95% of handguns, long guns remain about the same mix for years now, I just can't get around to selling (or even wanting to) the old Ithaca M37, the IHC Garand, the Winny 94 in 30-30 or any of the others.

Don't honestly miss the Colts...fine guns they were..but most all of them funded many more Smiths that are simply more fun and interesting guns for me.
