It's called "tiger stripe wood" or "fiddle back stocks" what ever they really are very Purdy just like any woman for sure. Some of my better looking wood stocks are on my surplus military rifles. One of them I purchased just because it's one of the prettiest fiddle back stocks I have ever seen on a military rifle. There's nothing like a good piece of wood on any rifle.

I'm a sucker when it comes to firearms with great wood.

This is a custom .270 Win. by the late Thomas Ward built using BRNO M21 Muaser action. I picked it up a few months ago.

My SIACE 16 gauge hammer gun has decent wood.

the stock on my wife's little AH Fox AE 20 gauge is pretty nice.

the wood on my Parker GH manufactured in 1924 ( I bought it because of its Damascus barrels)

Now that is nice old double rifle. I love the Jones underlever and backaction locks. The wood is pretty darn pretty, too.

This is my 20g double barrel shotgun that I got from my dad on my 13th birthday. He refinished the stock special for me and I think its beautiful. He shortened it to fit my petite frame and kept the light color natural wood instead of a dark stain.
