Noticed Galco makes a SOB holster for a J frame. I love my Lobo Snap slide holster but always wondered about a SOB. Anybody got one? Thoughts?

SOB carry is a very bad idea for myriad reasons.

a. The gun is inaccessible if you are on your back.

b. There is a definite possibility of injury caused by the gun if you fall or are otherwise down.

c. You place yourself in an arm bar position as you draw.

d. The gun will likely be revealed if you bend at the waist. It will print even if still concealed.

e. Driving or sitting is difficult.

Be safe.

I was going to say everything The Big D said, now I don't have to. I really don't recommend SOB carry.

I carry my LW commander or a Detonics mini gun as backup in a SOB rig.

Left hand draw and I wear it more left of center over my kidney.

They will print under ligher clothing, but I use mine in the colder parts of the year and they do not show under a heavy jacket or vest. It has never bothered me while driving but is not accessable during driving.

I have used both Glaco and Don Hume SOB holsters for J frames, and they are OK. However, I wear them at the 4 o'clock position and not truly in the small of back.
