This is a slick piece- a real deal Bowen Custom Gun loaded with bespoke work.
Starting with a fixed sight model 58, Bowen rebored, rechambered and re-contoured the gun into his Heavy Duty "HD" Conversion which gives you the tapered pre-war style barrel and pinned front half moon front sight.
Chambered in the versatile.44 magnum, This handgun is beautifully tuned with a light, crisp action and has perfect timing.
This gun is in very good shape with some edge wear, and a small patch of light pitting on one small area of the cylinder.
It has just enough wear that you can shoot it and even carry it without worry. Chambers and bore are perfect.
It wears a pair of Spegel boot grips cut to fit the frame. Internally marked 2001, the grips have some dents, wear and scratches but feel great and complement the piece.
Bowen will repair and refinish his custom S&W builds but no longer takes orders for them. They are among the most desirable of his custom guns.
