I'm selling a 9mm 547 revolver ( ser# 16D05xx ) with 3" heavy barrel round butt. Overall cosmetics is 96 + % with holster wear on the muzzle and modifications as noted below. This is not a collectors piece as I worked it over as a carry gun for a diamond currier who had it for 3-4 years. When he passed I bought it back. So here is a detailed description and photos.
As mentioned in earlier post I had a number of these and set up two for performance reliability as carry pieces. All internals were stoned, blued and fitted to reduce to slop tolerances. Yoke barrel was reamed and lapped with cylinder. Rebound slide, trigger SA and DA surfaces were stoned, hammer sear beveled, the hand tip stoned, 12# rebound spring and rebound slide stoned. I fitted a custom mainspring which is re-shaped and polished to elimInate DA stacking. Forcing cone has not been re-cut but lapped to a mirror like surface. Trigger ground and polished to remove hard edges. The gun has a 6.25# DA pull and 2.75# SA pull. Main spring is set to 38 0z.
The gun is a real pleasure to shoot with any ammo and carry's well. Different grips would certainly add to handling depending on the shooter. Asking $1000.00 with one like new HKS speed loader. I think this is a fair price for such a scarce gun and the gunsmithing work with a rare HKS speed loader.
Let me just repeat this is not a collectors piece but a well tuned reliable carry gun. These revolvers are a pleasure to shoot and balance as well as any. You can't beat a slicked up K-frame. You can PM for more info and photos
