Up for sale is a S&W 686-5, 7-shot with a 5-inch barrel in .357 mag. This was a Stocking Dealer Exclusive, it has a fiber optic front sight and an adjustable V-notch rear sight. (S&W Forum info link) The box is original to the gun and all of the paperwork and the Master Lock are included.
This gun is all original and unaltered. It's currently wearing a new Hogue rubber monogrip with the S&W logo, this is the type that covers the back strap. The original Hogue Bantam grip with installation tool is also included.
The finish on this gun is in great shape, I was only able to find a few very light handling marks, just scuffs, no scratches. I'm the second owner so the round count is unknown but it appears that it hasn't been shot much. I think I might have put two cylinders worth through it. The turn line on the cylinder is pretty light. The gun is mechanically sound, timing and lockup are both good.
Price is $800 for face-to-face deal in Austin, TX or add $35 for shipped and insured FFL to FFL CONUS. I'm willing to drive an hour or so from Austin to meet for a face-to-face deal.
I am not looking for any trades at this time.
