Some 686 questions

Here are a couple of pictures I took with my cell phone. (I still haven't learned how to use our digital camera... )

Are these grips correct for the year? I couldn't find any serial number in them; there were several numbers and letters in various spots, and one date: October 2, 1986. I know you can't tell from these pics, but those look like genuine S&W medallions...but then again, I'm no expert.

Sorry for the crappy pics above...I know they don't show any real detail. I swear I am going to get my wife to show me how to use a digital camera. I mean, I can use one to take a picture..but the process of loading it to the computer is what I don't know yet.

GKC, You did great. I bought the same 686 this spring for about the same price. No regrets at all. It's one of my favorite snubs now.
