Some time spent in DC

Looks like a wonderful trip. You hit all the high points, great pictures.
Haven’t been to DC since the 70’s, it looks surprising good. Clean and tidy.

Great pictures. I was stationed in D.C. my last year in the Air Force,
with NSA, when they were still housed in an old girl's school in Arlington,
Virginia. Took my wife to D.C. about ten years ago. The tour bus we were
on ran out of gas, so we walked a ways. Unfortunately I never took any
pictures either time I was there.

Havent been to the Vietnam monument in DC but our Local Memorial Park has hosted the Moving Monument several time's. Ive been there every time.To pay respect to the several friends who's names are on it.
It is Quite Moving!!!

For being so simplistic in design, in person it is very moving, particularly when one recognizes names. There is a catalog on site to locate which panel each name is on.

I lived in Carmel for 20 years. Here’s a video of what you speak.

Last time I was there was in 1985, when I was stationed at Ft. Meade. Probably should get back sometime and see some of the newer sights -- WWII & Korean War memorials, etc.

Brings back a lot of memories. Last time I was there was 1983, when we took the kids on a East Coast tour. I'm sure there are lots of changes since then. We did see the Vietnam wall but the WWII memorial has gone up since then.
