Some times I just don't get it

Ever buy something useful for the wife and she never uses it?
My wife loves her gardens and loves working in them when she's not working her other two jobs since I retired.
I picked her up this really practical gift and gave it to her on our 22nd anniversary last April.
She hasn't used it once. As a matter of fact, she hasn't even spoke to me since then. Maybe she's just overcome by my thoughtfulness. She did look like she was really choked up when I gave it to her.

Will they never learn? We purchase carefully planned, useful gifts to celebrate our love and it is met without even a thank-you. Why? Because its not painted pink and dosen't produce a sweet fragrance.

It reminds me of the time I bought the wife an RCBS reloading kit because I was concerned for her safety in the event of a breakdown of society. She reacted with a frigid ungrateful response, if you know what I mean. We men must band together and support one another in times like this.

I once bought mine a George Foreman grill. That went over like a ton of bricks. (She called it a Mike Tyson grill, I guess a boxer is a boxer for her).
Now I just ask her what she wants and where I can buy it. I usually don't screw it up that way.

Oh NO, some of you did the ultimate NO-NO, bought something with a "CORD" attached for any kind of present. I believe there was a thread sometime back about the special place in Hell dedicated to those who gave a "corded" present.

Just don't Get It

Didn't work for me either, bought mine a whole new set of appliances for the kitchen for Christmas, included a blender, meat slicer, pots and pans,microwave and don't know what else-
Christmas dinner was the last meal I got for a long time---a real long time.
I think I took the meat slicer to Goodwill a few months ago, still in the box!!
It only took one lesson for me---now I ask what she wants and where I go to buy it, works every time-
Guess she forgave me though, we just celebrated our 48th
anniversary last Tuesday.

I told her I would ask as she would like to bid on it - she too gardens and all I have ever provided for her is a hand claw cultivator.

When you find the instructions have them printed up on some Really Nice paper and have them professionally gift wrapped.

Then, next April, give them to her on your anniversary.

I'm sure she'll be overcome by your thoughtfulness and award you appropriately
