Nice pics! I have a Hummer feeder hanging on the porch just outside the window. They're fascinating little birds. And very selfish when it comes to sharing the feeder!

Thanks!. They are at my sisters home in MN. I had to "work" pretty hard to get those shots. Sat on the back porch and had to wait for them to sit still. Little aggressive things. Shot them freehand , no tripod with a Sony Digital Cybershot automatic.

Never gonna pad or post count at this rate.:D

Nice pictures I like to watch them. I have 3 feeders and they stay busy.

Good patience and steady hand, OCD1, the pictures are very clear. Yes, hummers are funny because they're so territorial. Our feeder is not as busy this year as in the past, but definitely fun to watch when they do show up.

Love those hummers ;) Seriously though, my feeders aren't that busy either. I've got 4 girls and one dude. One of the girls is boss. My sister, who lives about 100 miles SW of me, has already gone through 25 lbs. of sugar.

I've never seen sharing. Four stations on our feeder, but if one is there and another shows up they'll chase the first one away.

Interesting how some will perch while feeding, while others will just hover.

Here's the kind of harrasment my sister is having to put up with. She has 3 feeders and when she refills them, they'll actually feed off them while they are in her hand.

Well, I can tell you for sure, walking out on the front porch is an adventure :0 You don't want to wear mirrored sunglasses out there.

I have never seen that many in one place. Where I took the pics, there is usually a dominate one that chases all the others away. I am going to send your pic to my sister up in MN.

She says that early on there was a dominant female, but when that pic was taken, she figured there were close to 100 on all three feeders. I guess they would just swarm and no one could be in charge. Feel free to forward the pic, I just wish it was better. (I believe she was dodgeing little dive bombers at the time she took it ;)
