Just picked this one up today. Friend bought it and then couldn't swing it financially, so I graciously stepped in to help a brotha out.

Hanging out in this forum makes me buy almost every Smith and Wesson I run across. I've even got a fiend for a genuine S&W toilet flush valve (check out S&W History by Jinks)!

I started a support group, but it turned into a swap meet! Someone help me please. . . oh look, a nickel Chiefs. . .

No need to be stopped, my friend. What you have is not an affliction, it's a normal desire to own the very best in firepower. Fit, finish and quality, dontcha just love a Smith?

We had a support group of sorts, too. That was back in the 1970s and 80s. We'd designate one day a month to gun cleaning day at the fire station and all the shooters would bring in their favorite guns for show n' tell. I usually brought in my Model-18 Combat Masterpiece or the Model-28 Highway Patrolman. Geez, those guys had some nice old Smiths...

Sure miss those politically incorrect old days.

Wow! I didn't know my problem was so severe! I answered yes to just about everything!

Let's see:

More than one 1911.
Way more than one .357
Ten Glocks
Pre-war (ergo pre-Bangor Punta) rotater
Got blue, got nickel, got stainless
Used to go to Tilford's many moons ago
Shooter's Supply sold me my last stripped AR lower (thought I got a good price)
Carry a gun whenever I'm not at work (fire + ammo = BAD!)
Got 2 Chief's and a Centennial
Yes to Ruger, SIG, and Colt
Stop by Biff's once a month on my way back from Knob Creek
I left KY Imports a lot of money in the past

I won't be at the show (too broke as usual)

I'll keep an eye peeled for a set of them Combats.

PS My favorite carry is a Glock 23. I asked Shooter's Supply to order me a set of skip-ckeckered Herrett's for it, but they haven't been able to located any. I guess Herrett's quit making them.

I carry a Glock, but I think I'm in love with the Smith Compact M&P .45. I have a sneaking suspicion that one's going to cost me a lot of money (gotta have at least two, holsters, a lot of mags, etc.)

My dept frowns on guns. It's a real pissing contest between the Chief and some board members and myself. They said "no weapons. I told them a) we have four trucks full of weapons, and b) I WILL be using one of them as a shield if anything happens.
