I was working on a project and tapping some holes for a 3' piece of threaded rod with a piece of plastic on the end. I felt the call of nature so I carried it to the can with me so I could examine it while sitting down to figure out the next step. My wife comes to pick up some clothes, looks at me and says nonchalantly, "I hope you aren't going to need that."

I laff and I laff.:D

My device is going to be a hull deflector for my SKS which shoots brass all over creation. I was going to reload for it when I first got it but lost all of my good brass first outing. So I started buying cheap Russian ammo at $12/40. Well, those days are gone so I'm thinking about reloading for it again, but only if I can keep track of the brass. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Wow, I can remember buying 8mm Mauser and the AK ammo 900 round metal cans for $42. The good old days when I had my C&R and was working. I had a nice stack of those cans in my gun room.

Reminds me of what happened a few years ago at a gun show.

Some youngsters were looking over a folding stock and thought $99.00 was way too much. Peered over and saw it was a Ruger Mini 14 factory folder and as soon as they walked away gave the guy a $100.00. Rest of the show every table I passed did the "selling or bought?" quiz.

After a few hrs I hit the rest room and while standing doing my business a guy walked up next to me and asked "hey, is that thing for sale ....?"

I used PVC piping to build a frame which was covered with nylon mesh. It was wide and tall enough to "catch" the fired empty cases. I channeled the mesh so the fired cases would fall and collect in a metal pail on the ground. Made range cleanup very easy. The PVC frame was not glued together and could be taken apart for transport and storage. The good thing was it wasn't gun specific as I could use rifle or handgun and it worked.

You wouldn’t be a mathematician possibly?😂😂😂

You need only a pencil.
