Soooo, how many of you are "Closet" Ruger guys....????

i've owned a few others over the years that im ashamed to say ive let go of, but the current roster of Rugers includes:
*.357 1976 edition 4.5/8 stainless blawkhawk
*.44mag blackhawk 5.5 inch stainless
*.45 colt blackhawk 4.5/8 stainless
*10.22 modified with volquartsen guts and bull barrell and fajen stock.
*stainless mk11 .22 that was won at a NRA dinner of 750 as marked on the barrell

ifin i could ever find a RSI in .308 or .358 id jump on it. i have passed on some beautys No1's though

Two 10/22s and four single action revolvers. And for Christmas my son bought me a coffee table book called Ruger: the man and his guns (or something like that). Interesting readihng.

I have two Ruger Model 77-V's in .22-250 & .308 Win, plus these:

I am not in the closet at all. I'll tell anyone that I like them. Most all of mine are pre ban sidefolding Mini 14s though. Here are pics of two of them. That is my "hang up" but I have others.

There have been many Rugers in my safe. Started with a standard model 22 Red Eagle in 1954. No, I don't have it anymore. Then a couple 357 SA's & in 1958 I bought the first Bearcat I saw. #A1xx. No, don't have that one either. Now down to a 10-22 & a P-95. I like 'em.

My first handgun was a Ruger Single Six convertable (22LR and 22Mag) with a 6.5 inch barrel. Still have it and love plinking with it.

I followed it up with Ruger Blackhawk convertable (45LC and 45acp) with a 5.5 inch barrel. Still have it and love plinking with it.

Then I bought my favorite Ruger, a Red Label O/U 12 gauge shotgun with 26in barrels. My favorite pheasant buster.

Ruger makes a fine gun, not as polished as the S&Ws but certainly functional enough.

There are two single-action Rugers in the closet, and a single-action Colt. They're outnumbered by the double-action Smiths.

To my surprise I have more sturm ruger wheelguns than smith&wesson wheelguns 48 to 45 the smiths take the cake on age 1898 model 3 vs 1953 blackhawk there something about the noise a 3 screw makes when you pull the hammer back

Nothing wrong with a Ruger. I have had many over the years. Currently own a Red Label, 10-22, Ruger Standard and my wife carries a LCR now.

Won't bother with a pic, but when I started buying guns again just over two years ago, the first thing I picked up was a slab-side Ruger Mk III competition. Nice gun, but no more accurate than any of the K-22s I have picked up since and a lot tougher to disassemble and clean.

The next one I bought was a new 629, and I haven't left the S&W reservation since.

Only the obligatory 10/22 and a couple of Mark II pistols. Lots of fun (cheap) plinking!

Got a few...

Ruger Red Label 12ga
Ruger Gold Label 12ga
Ruger 3 screw .30 Carbine
Ruger .256mag Hawkeye
Ruger 10/22 Thumbhole bull bbl

I'm out of the closet.... 4" Redhawk in .44

That's nice!
I have a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine, Old Model Single Six Convertible, 32 H&R Single Six adj. sight and an Old Model Single Six .22lr that hasn't been converted to the transfer bar safety.

I've got a couple of their SA .22lr revolvers. A Single Six and a Bearcat. If they

were new enough to have the transfer bar safety, I'd never have bought them.

I find myself shooting this one more than almost any of my handguns. It's a Ruger MkII with a Tactical Solutions Pac-Lite upper. It features an aluminum receiver and barrel (one piece), with a steel barrel liner. The muzzle is threaded to take a compensator (illustrated), a sound suppressor, or even an M16 flash suppressor. A threaded muzzle cap is provided with the unit to give the appearance of an unthreaded barrel if so desired. Very light weight, very accurate. Economical to shoot, and it gets oohs and ahs every time I bring it to the firing line. Only downside is that it is a serial numbered part, and has to be bought as a firearm, with all necessary federal paperwork.

Ruger

Had so many Rugers in my lifetime, I can't remember them all. Multiple Mini 14's, 10/22's, Redhawk, Single six's, Single actions, Dbl. actions and so on,
Currently down to three. A 1959 Blackhawk .44mag, a single six convertible and a 10/22 TD.

I have owned several over the years and currently have a New Model Super Blackhawk (.44 mag), 10-22, a Special Edition Vaquero with 32 H&R mag cylinder and a 32-20 cylinder, and a 77/22 LR with AAC suppressor, Mk II also threaded for the suppressor.
