Hi, I'd like to add to my tool set
and get a small set of files - what I
want to do is smooth the edges of the
vertical serrations on the front of the
frame on my S&W 1911., narrow cuts
just the edges make it a bit abrasive to
my fingers in the grip so I spose a round
diameter file - small set to pick the right
size Is this a correct technique.?

How about sandpaper? 320 grit. That will take care of the sharpness. I assume the gun is stainless. I like the Pachmayrs that cover the front of the grip.

These are great grips, feel good in the hand.
