Speaking of disapointing 22 ammo.

Why are you not just pushing the casing out with a rod from the muzzle end? Or a gun cleaning q-tip? Or the center part of a Bic pen?

There are dozens of options other than field stripping the pistol.

I had thought the same. Just figured there must be a reason for field stripping.

In a way, I am glad to see a company try a poly-coat on a .22 round.

Not that the waxed coat on the old .22 did not do it's job but you never know
with .22 ammo, what might turn out to be a "Shooter" in your guns.

Their chemist are getting better at the covering on the new "Lipstick" bullets
since they first came out and I am sure that they will get it down to "Perfect" in their search, for a top quality bullet.

We went from lead, to copper, to Poly................
makes you wonder what will going down our barrels in another ten years ?

CajunBass,
You already know that one pistol firing one package of ammunition does not indicate the ammunition is bad.

As to your Walther why are you field stripping it to get the casing out with a knife?

Oh sure. I know that. I'm going to try the stuff again the next time I go to the range in my other Walther PPK/S. The one we tried the last time was my wife's. I was shooting my Canik TP9 that day. I was just curious if anyone else had experience with the "Clean" ammo. It all fired, and as best I could tell, seemed to be as accurate as I am/she is with any other 22. It was just the failure to extract the fired case that got my attention.

Why field strip it? It's been years since I shot a 22, and I didn't have a cleaning rod with me. At least not one that fit a 22. It's no big deal to pull the slide off a PPK and pop the case out with a knife blade. Annoying, but no big deal. A 22 cleaning rod has been added to the range bag again.

I had to find the pictures

While I have never shot the CCI "Clean" branded ammunition, several years back CCI offered up polymer coated 22 LR in Red, White and Blue for Independence day. It came in 300 round boxes.

They called it the Patriot Pack

If I had known it was a limited product I would have bought more than 6 boxes. I thought it was a cool product but at the time I also thought it was kind of expensive at $11.99 a box . . . . who knew?

A few boxes were used as gifts.

Mine were all fired in a K22 Masterpiece or a Henry Lever Action so auto loader functioning was something I never tested.

No one I gave it to complained, but as a gift they might have remained silent
