It's easy enough w/ several powders. The 135grGDSB clocks 1125fps out of my M66 2 1/2". I can get there w/ 14.8gr of 2400 (1175fps) or 7.8gr of Unique (1150fps). The Speer GDSB is a med. pressure load so can be created w/ just about any powder that will safely push a 140gr bullet to 1150fps. http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp

IMO the best duplicate would be 8.8gr Power Pistol under that 135gr Speer GD bullet. I think it has the same felt recoil and type of recoil as the original. I did my tests using a 140gr Hornady XTP bullet because they are cheaper than the Gold Dots. After I settled on that load I switched over to the GD bullet for my final tests. BTW, that charge of 8.8gr is nowhere near the Max recommended by Alliant which is 9.6gr.
