I have an early High Wood Quality Hardware Stock and 2 Rivet Handguard for an M1 Carbine. These I believe were made by Rockola. Has an oval oiler hole, both pieces marked Q-RMC, stock in the sling well (in a box) and guard on the upper edge. What looks to me like an Inland diagonal butt plate, recoil plate currently not installed is marked SW on the right side, retaining clip is present.
Both the stock and guard are in what I would call fair condition, no cracks, but lots of scratches and dings. Also looks like someone carved their initials (AS) into the right stock just forward of the sling well; very faint cartouche on the right also. What looks like PM carved into the front of the grip, and two other carved on the bottom of the grip, can’t quite make it out (maybe 17?). I cannot tell for certain, but the forward part of the handguard looks to have had a small repair done, the area is shiny without grain. No rebuild marks noted. Both were very greasy when received, I cleaned them with lacquer thinner and soft rags (no sanding), then applied a coat of Raw Linseed Oil.
