Here are some pictures of my latest home shop project - An Infinitely Adjustable Spotting Scope Mount! There are no knobs or handles to adjust when you want to move the scope. It can be moved to any position in seconds and it will remain in that position.
The bowling ball was a reject from the local bowling alley and was given to me. The base ring is a piece of 4" dia. aluminum tubing which I had laying around the shop. The thumb hole was drilled out and round aluminum bar was epoxied into the hole after a 1/4-20 bolt was threaded into the end. I had to machine the bracket which mounted the scope but the hose clamp holds it firmly to the scope.
I've had it to the range and it works outstandingly. It is a very simple project to do if you have the tools.
