I'm not really complaining seeing as how so much of the West is going through a record drought. But this has been a pretty damp and cool spring here on this part of the Oregon Coast. The Cottage Grove reservoir (about 70 miles from here) is currently at 105% capacity. Tomorrow is supposed to be the last rain for a little while and the temps are going to stay at least in the mid 60's during the day. We're even going to get a couple of days in a row with temps nearing 70. Of course, that won't last. Will be nice to get out for a little bit anyway. Maybe even get in a little shooting without having to take cover in my car every few minutes. Hopefully this cooler weather will cut down on the fire hazard some. Last year was pretty bad for most of the West.

Summer has been here for a few weeks now. Plus no rain for almost as long. Getting tired of the high pressure system sitting on top of us. The only good thing is it keeps the Gulf from spawning storms.

Yep spring lasted 3 days 98 here today. But will go down into the 60s tonight. Open the winder and use a light blanket.LOL

I have never seen such a cold/wet spring, early summer as we've had here in the PNW.

Same here! It's Juneuary. Yesterday at the club, we shot a little, got wet changing targets and sat around the fire. Rinse and repeat. Today at shotgun, same thing only we didn't get so wet. One might opine that the BS flowed so freely with hot air that the fire was unnecessary.

We all had a good time despite the weather. The old saying around here is true: If you stay home in lousy weather, you won't do much of anything.

Down under winter has well and truely arrived (for some reason we and Aussie celebrate the turn of the seasons on the 1st of the month).

My morning 5-7 minute walk to the station has been in the dark at 0630 for the past 6 weeks. But……..

This Thu marks the shortest day of the year. From then onwards summer is on its way:D:D:D:D:D:D
