Well you couldnt stir the people with a stick. Anything to do with ammo or reloading was astrnomical as were the black guns.
FYIMO picked up a slick 27 he posted on another thread.
I bought a 28-0 for $350 in probably 96% shape. I saw lots of Smiths for decent prices, that bring a lot more elsewhere.
I almost wet myself when a guy brought a 1903-A4 by the table. It had the correct scope, mount, stock, everything for $800.00. Upon further inspection, and a call to a buddy, it was a fake albeit well done. Probably still worth the money.
Today I got a call from my dealer who had a guy in the store with an early Pre-27 (probably 1951/52) for $475 in about 75/80% shape although he is like me and under grades his guns. I might have bought it but for the fact I bought the 28, and our illustrious leader Lee is expecting to get paid for a gun when I get to Tulsa.
Good weekend
