Does anyone still remove a spring or two[ cannot remember now which ones; I did try it] using ball point pen springs to help trigger pull? This was about 15-20 years ago advice.

Was used by some on the SW. Can cause failure to cock on hot loads. I used SW9VE for loaners and rental for 25 years. Reliable and durable in stock form but not suited for mods IMHO.
Spring kits for SW don't do much.

DO NOT remove springs on the SD. You can get an APEX kit for the SD.

If you like mods & lighter trigger, get an M&P to start. Lots of goodies available.;)

I just used the Apex kit. Took the trigger pull down from 8-ish to about 6. I'm good with that.

I had the APEX spring kit in my SD9 but didn't like it. I replaced it with a WESBAUN spring kit and a Galloway Boudica carbon fiber trigger. My trigger is just under 4.75 lbs.
