I really like my 4013tsw but am wondering how easy and costly it would be to put a full hammer on it? Dont get me wrong, there is NOTHING wrong with the bobbed hammer, I just want to be able to pull the hammer back with my thumb thats all.

The 4013 TSW was my First S&W auto I bought , they had one with and without a spured hammer, I got the spured hammer. I love it. I want to put one on my 4516,maybe someone will help us?

About $50.00 for new parts, it depends if you buy new parts or find used on gunbroker or in the classified here.

This video will show how to do it yourself if you have a punch and a screwdriver.
YouTube - Smith & Wesson Mod 4506 advanced takedown Part 2

While you are in there, the ejector spring and mainspring are already removed so adding a new one would make sense(unless your gun is new).

Now for the guess, I am thinking a 4006TSW hammer should work, but don't hold me to that it is a guess. The stirrup will be a different length for the 4006 and the 4013 though, make sure you have the correct one. (The stirrup is what the main spring sits on, and is connected to the hammer by one pin).
Hopefully one of the other members can add more info about which hammer you will need.

I had another member PM me with spurred hammers. I am buying the black one he has.

If your interested in a flash chrome one, let it be know. I bet he would PM you too.

I have to wait till I get home to see the vid,,, friggin public work computers dont have the correct flash player and im not authorized to update it... None the less, I cant believe its that hard to do...

I received the hammer today. It took me all of about 10 minutes to install it...

Unfortunately I didnt do a step by step or take any pictures of the procedure. It was just too simple. Pull a couple pins, drop in the hammer and replace the pins.

It also helps that hand written instructions were included with it. Thanks!!!

I'll get pictures of it later.
