Just a nice example of the S&W K frame with neat old stag grips. I'm proud of it and thought I'd share a couple of pics.

The box is very clean considering the age but does not number to the gun. Any grease pencil markings on the box have been lost.

I have not shot this one...but will eventually. I understand they are quite accurate and addictive.

Great looking K-38! Thanks for sharing the pictures. That's one to enjoy for sure. As for shooting it? I'd love to have one for that purpose.

I'm not a collecter, I accumulate. I enjoy shooting them too much. However, if I were to find a mint 'unfired' collectable in the box? I'd pass it on to those who do collect. No sense in me keeping it locked away.

Hello R Crabtree
A Very, Very Nice K-38 Target Masterpiece. You are just two away from having the Trio being the Matching K-22 & Elusive K-32. For me, the K-38 was the Last one to add to my Trio, and hard to find in good shape as most that have them seem shoot them a lot or will not part with them at all. I Bought my K-38 from forum member David Carroll :( I wouldn't let that box go, they are far to hard to find these day's in that condition.;) When we do get together later this summer as we have Planned to, I will bring my Trio along for you to shoot. I Know after you fire them, that will spark a Hunt for the Other Two you are lacking, but until then, to hold you over here ya go...;)

Thanks for the compliments. This gun appears to be have been fired before it came to me so I don't think I would be treading on sacred ground if I put a round or two down the pipe. In fact, I think it wants to be shot. :)

Kurt, amazing picture per usual! I look forward to seeing that trio in person. PM sent about getting together...

Awesome looking K38 and those grips with the coloring from age are just plain steller and it makes a wonderful combination. Great photograph also by the way.

The stags are very attractive on the gun. I purchased a 1905 in 32-20 that came with stag grips, as much as I would have perferred the original stocks the stags do look nice on the gun.

Beautiful gun and grips. Those grips remind me of how CASE used to flame treat their stag handled pocketknives. The series was called Burnt Stag. Makes a real nice presentation.

Man those grips are the cats *** for sure. They really make the gun!!
Very nice revolver indeed.
