I found a 5" 38 M&P serial number 6557?? (1936?) that has:
MO. S. H. P. 34 stamped on the back-strap, I'm guessing Missouri State Highway Patrol, rack # 34?

Probably a Montenegro bring back from a Bosnian deployment in the 1990s.
