Steps to get carry permit in New Jersey

Having left NJ in the rearview mirror over 42 years ago I can only marvel that in my lifetime they have come this far. With all the "institutional stupid" that has ruled for all of the 20th and most of the 21st centuries this is nothing short of a minor miracle. Florida was a little apprehensive when they went shall issue in the late 80's until it has become quite normalized today. There is always hope no matter where you live in AMERICA. Joe

In NY a police officer personally interviews the references. No letters.

That's rich….. personal references in order to execute a Constitutional Right……..(I'm scratching my head over this one….)

On Monday I drove 65 miles to a place across the border in Pennsylvania where they had plenty of openings for appointments to get fingerprinted. Indentogo in Elkins, PA. Very professional and quick.

Now it's wait for the local Police to send letters to my three references asking if I have enough moral character to exercise my Rigjts under the Second Amendment.

IDK your particular circumstances, but if you could commute, I would.
