Sticky mag help.

Hi all.

I recently purchased a Model 41. It came with 2 magazines, both work fine. However, one of them does not drop freely when i push the mag release. It sticks and it takes using a thumbnail to pry it free. Its not a big deal but kind of annoying.

Are there any tips for fixing this or am I just going to have to purchase another magazine?

You should be able to look it over and find a rub mark if it's just a little too fat somewhere on the body, then a little polishing or squeezing should take care of it. If it's hanging up on the release mechanism it may be a little harder to find.

Another thing to look for is simply to see if there is something on the outside of the magazine itself. I had a magazine that had some sort of sticky substance that I did not notice at first glance on the outside surface of the magazine body. I wiped it off, and the magazine dropped free.
