Another good place to check are the Tacticool shops...I picked up a PC 3rd gen S&W pistol for less than half of what it would go for normally at one.

The jumping up and down along with screaming for joy all the way to your vehicle might have given them a clue that a mistake had been made. Or not... The sad thing is, there are two "not gun people" who ended up with the dark end of the stick. The poor misguided individual who they bought the gun from really got hosed.

kinda got me thinking.. about the shop now.. I didn't ask about the story of the 27. But, was told before that often people will call in asking for "Clean-out's" ( when a family member has passed or moved into a retirement home, the family sells the contents of the household for a fixed price) I'm willing to bet this is where this one came from..
lucky for me, they are close and I can stop in once or twice a week..
And I did leave my number, just in case something else comes up or they have questions about any firearms they come across.. or if they need help filling out a 4473, again.......lol

Fantastic find!!! When you got home, were you able to open the "stuck cylinder"? And if not, just for curosity sake, what method did you use to tighten the ejector rod without opening it?

Great good for you bet you turned cartwheels when you tighten it. I would. Wonder though being in a gun shop business how the world things like that get overlooked? Bought a 64 once was the same way open the cyl turn the rod counterclockwise it's fixed. Congrats enjoy
it's Easy-peasy.. pull the hammer back about an quarter of an inch until the cylinder turns free, hold it there, then insert something non-marring ( like a popsicle stick ) into the ejector shroud, trapping the ejector rod and turn the cylinder.. tightens up the rod enough to open the cylinder ..then tighten it for good, ( spent cases in the cylinder first please ).. lemon squeezy

Wonder what mom and pop paid for it? Is it hot, or did they simply think it was junk? Even if it didn't work, it's worth at least twice that much.
I know a business deal is a business deal, however, because they aren't gun people and may have unwittingly sold me something worth much more, from an ethical standpoint, I would have went back to them and let them know of their mistake and simple repair and would have offered more. If they declined, then I would sleep better. I know I'll probably get flamed, but that's the way I was raised.
