Still waiting ...

Well, here we go. Now waiting for a Shield. Prdered it now 8 months ago. Sure must be nice to have that sort of backorder backlog, All I want it a stupid 9MM with 2 spare 7 round magazines. How hard can that be?

Lucky for me, my local range got a rental unit back in May, I liked it and was able to find one locally (right place - right time).

Finding anyone that had the spare mags took a while longer though.

8 months? WOW. if theses are in such high demand why isnt s&w producing more? i was hoping on picking one up by christmas but no one has them in stock anywhere. guess the glock will get some more carry time.

They're producing all they can, around the clock (3 shifts).

Who knew they'd be this much nicer than all the other 3" Subcompacts already out there??

Eight months and still waiting. You are waiting at the wrong gun shop(s). Try others in your area, even if it involves a longer drive. Give them a call, once a week, you might get lucky like I did. Don't know if your LGS is either low on the S&W distributor totem pole, or did they commit a lower price to you? If so they might be bypassing you for higher profits from someone else??

The past four years has been a great time to be a gun manufacturer. They are all seeing sales records broken and high profits. The Obama years, as all consumers feared and still fear new regulations.
