While I am not gonna turn it down, and I recognize my (and other taxpayers') taxes paid or will pay for this, it does seem kinda nuts to me that the payments are given to everyone regardless of need.

Read an article yesterday stating the the overall national savings rate in 2020 is at about 30%, up from 7% in 2019, due to the pandemic. (Less opportunities to spend.) I think much of the country simply puts these disbursements into savings. Meanwhile, per the news, the less fortunate are lining up to receive food.

WOW ! we are really getting another stimulas check for $600.00 ?

WAIT ! I am not allow to do any of these things. Well maybe the jail cell if I keep parking in "Police Only" parking spaces.

Onomea, i actually feel the same way. money dispersed without being needed by most. i know people who blew through that money like it was a birthday present. i didn't get stimulated and am ok with that. Praise the Lord i didn't need it. krs

I think they call it the American Way. It is easier to pretend actually doing something instead of actually fixing anything. I can't wait to see what will happen next. Next few years will really be a interesting.

Tax rates, wonder which way they will go?

Here's a comparison chart of the federal tax rates for the poor, middle class and rich folks.I wonder where the rates are heading? old and new tax rates.jpg

Since the '90's I've paid an average of $10K a year in Fed taxes (Almost $20 K for 6 of the "Pharmaceutical years"). That ain't counting SS 8% and any other "Freedom Fees." Anything they want to send me I'll take gladly. It would be nice to trade up from my 11 y/o truck. I have personally supported families that never ain't hit a lick of work, ain't paid a dime in any taxes (except lotto tix), live in a house nearly like mine on the section 8 (aptly named) walk in any hospital and never see a bill because of the medicaid and eat lobster tails on the EBT card while paying for smokes, beer and lotto tix with cash, and get $ 4 digit IRS "refunds" every year. I personally am "all in" on the $2K PER MONTH some swamp critter has proposed. "Show me the money!!!!!!" Does any body really think this gravy train will ever be intentionally stopped to "save the children's future?" There would need to be developed a new squeeze to buy votes. Ain't happening. Joe

forget the stimulus money.....get people educated and put em to work.....

Sometimes that education can be a hindrance, way to many people with art history and gender studies degrees refusing to take jobs they believe is beneath them.

We hear at the Engineering company I work at, but I went to collage, and you want me to work out side in the heat/cold/mud....

"We should say thanks to our grand children. They will be paying for it."

There is an alternative. We could ALL pay for it. The government might well pay for it by printing more money...so we would all actually pay for it through inflation.
