Stock replacement

Hello, currently live in NJ, (yea, I know) just purchased the M&P sport 2. I would like to change out the stock. I was able to remove the pin but it doesn’t release or move at all. Any ideas? Or do I have to change out the buffer tube in order to replace the stock?
