I know I can store my factory mags loaded as they use a spring, however I am wondering if you can load a 50 round drum and store it that way until you're ready to use it? I ask because it uses a rubber band of sorts and not a spring, and there's nothing stated about it in the paper work they sent with the unit. If you can store it loaded how long exactly? Thanks.

If the rubber band does loosen up, just take the drum apart and give it 1.5 to 2 turns and you'll be good to go again.

Taken from the manual:
"Note: The power spring may relax over time. This is expected and is not a bad thing. To adjust, simply take the drum apart and reset your wind to 1 1/2 - 2 turns"

Yep...me too! I also like that they included a couple of spare bands as well. I don't think it would be a issue unless you don't plan on emptying the mag out for a LONG time IMHO.

It looks like you are correct. I went back and looked at the parts list and the power spring is listed separate from the dummy rounds+ bands.

So, Power Spring is an $8.00 part

Those bands are for the fake bullets to fill the neck, aren't they?

Yes...you are correct! My bad! I do remember reading a review about these awhile ago. The reviewer asked the owner of BD about leaving these loaded and he replied that it shouldn't be a problem. They do state that the band MAY loose tension over time which is normal so....
I don't plan on leaving mine loaded for any long period of time so not worried about it. As I recall the review was on Tactical Gun or something like that.
