Stormy weather

We've been having bouts of stormy weather moving through the Ozarks the past few weeks. It's been mostly sunny today but I heard my iPhone give a weather alert indicating a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. I thought this odd since I was just outside a half hour ago to clear skies so I stepped back out again and saw a thunderstorm moving off to the east just north of us and it was putting on quite a show.

Dust Storm Friday Was City's Worst Since 1930s, Weather Service Says

Storms on Friday sent dust from Central Illinois farms into the city. Chicago hasn't seen a dust storm that significant since 1934, during the height of the Dust Bowl.

We went to an adopted daughter's graduation in DC the other day. After we left as we were meeting up outside. The sky opened up and hard winds blew drenched us to the Bone and nearly blew us away.. The lady completed two masters degrees simultaneously at George Washington University.
